Dear St. John’s friends and family,
What an exciting day! Today we celebrate the accomplishment of 42 individuals that read the Bible cover to cover in 90 days. You will hear a few of their stories and what the last 90 days meant to them.
After you hear these testimonies, you may want to join a b90 reading group too. If that is the case, you are in luck! We will launch a b90 Zoom group on June 3. This group will meet on Thursdays at 7pm and will be led by Dee and Jeff Mulkey. They are awesome! And the beauty of meeting over Zoom through the summer means it doesn’t matter whether you will be out of town for the summer. You can meet with your group no matter where you are! And you can invite friends and relatives to join in and it doesn’t matter where they live! I was blessed to have my mom that lives in Mississippi and my Aunt that lives in Georgia in our Zoom B90 group. This is a great opportunity to invite people to join in on this challenge of reading the Bible cover to cover with you! If you are considering taking on this challenge please email Criddick@stjounsumctc.org or shughes@stjohnsumctc.org and we will get you set up with materials and the Zoom link. There is an optional book for $9 and you can use any Bible you want. And did I mention that Dee and Jeff Mulkey are awesome! They are going to be amazing small group facilitators! So what are you waiting for! You can do this! Take the challenge!
As we enter into worship, hear God’s invitation to draw in close. Hear the still small voice that witnesses great and awesome love. Be aware of God’s presence and what great potential that holds for you. Have eyes to see and ears to hear what God has to reveal to you today!
