Dear St. John’s friends and family,
This is the last week for our summer sermon series. It’s back to school time! Throughout the summer, we’ve explored what we know about God. God is present. God is more than we can imagine or expect. God is merciful. God is not like us. And this week we remember that God is generous. We forget, sometimes in our struggles, how generous God is. Everything that brings joy and delights our heart is a gift from God. Holy scripture teaches us that all good things come from God.
As we explore what that means, let’s praise God in a spirit of great gratitude. No matter how messy our lives may get, God’s generosity never fails and neither should our thankfulness. Let’s praise God together, for God is good all the time!
