Our Fall Festival/Craft Fair is this Saturday, October 5th 10:00am – 2:00pm
We will have games for the kiddos with lots of fun prizes. Make and take crafts for kiddos.
Food available for purchase…hotdogs, chips, cookies and drinks. There will also be a snow cone truck here!!!
Vendors, vendors, and more vendors with lots awesome wares available for sale. Come on out and join us for a fun day of food and fellowship!
Most of our vendors will be indoors so come on and shop in the AC! Here is a preview of the vendors that you will have the opportunity to shop with: Scentsy, paparazzi jewelry, kids jewelry, handmade crafts and jewelry, wreaths, embroidery, vinyl, Irish whistles, soaps, scrubs, ladies boutique clothing, fabulous teas, hair bands, wind chimes, cutting boards, crosses, dishes and punch bowl sets and much…much…more!!!
Here’s how you can help! Signup sheets will be available at the information table. Everyone can participate by decorating their cars and handing out candy
- We ask that you set up your trunk by no later than 5:30pm and stay the whole two hours.
- We need candy donations
- We need bottled water
We will provide some candy but we encourage each of you to bring your own. You are encouraged to dress up in a costume, but we ask that you keep it “PG.” No scary costumes please (we want to set a good example.)
And finally…Please invite people! Friends…Neighbors…Strangers…EVERYONE! This is a great family event and a fun and safe alternative to trick or treating. We want to be a blessing to our Community!

Please join us for Open Hearts on Monday, October 7, at 7 PM in the Foundry. We will watch and discuss the enlightening “Breaking the Silence” DVD featuring the Rev. Dr. Jim Bankston. All are invited to this very informative talk by a leader of our denomination.

South District Sunday Hub Charge Conference – Sunday, November 3rd at 3:00 pm St. John’s will be hosting the Charge Conference this year. All members are encouraged to attend. This is a good way to hear about what’s going on in the church and district.
Youth Sunday school is held Sunday morning in the Foundry during contemporary service from 9:30 -10:30am. Youth Group meets on Sunday nights in the Foundry from 4 – 6pm. We share fellowship, food, and a lesson at this time. Youth events are open to everyone in grades 6th– 12th.

This will be a busy day in the life of the St. John’s Community Garden! We need your help!!! Please come give us a hand!!! 9:00 am – 11:00 am Wheel barrows, work gloves and garden tools needed
CHILDREN’S SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS NEEDED!!!!! We are looking to start a rotation of teachers. We will have a sign up where you can sign up quarterly. All the lessons are provided. The lessons are provided for you with all the worksheets ready to go. If this is something you are interested in, please let Jessica Dean know! BECOME A MENTOR TODAY…MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN A CHILD’S LIFE We have several opportunities to get involved in Kids Hope. Please take a look and let Ingrid Clark know if you think you would be interested in becoming a Mentor, Prayer Partner or Sponsor/Scholarship Provider.

“The Blanket Project” is in full swing…we need blankets for our annual Mexico mission trip at the end of the year. The goal this year is to provide 150 blankets from St. John’s and as of today we have 65!!! Here’s how you can help…We are looking for individuals, families, Small groups, or Sunday School classes to commit to providing blankets each week.
(There are exactly 12 Sundays left in 2019…If we collect just 7 blankest each Sunday we will meet our goal of 150 blankets to take to Mexico!!!) Isn’t that AWESOME??? We will be returning to Mexico and want to bring a team and supplies from St. John’s. We will be going to the Albergue, El Elohe children’s shelter in Galeana, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
Please join us in bringing hope to the “least of these.” Blankets can be dropped off in the Mission Donation area.
The Mexico trip dates are Dec 26th-Jan 2nd, the cost of the trip is $250.00. You must have a valid passport to go on this trip. Youth age 14th and up & adults are encouraged to come on this trip.
