Fellowship Groups

Dinner for Eight

Enjoy lunch or dinner with a small group of four couples once a month. Couples (or two singles who team together) take turns hosting the meal. The meal can be held in a home or a restaurant. When the meal is at a restaurant, it’s “Dutch Treat.” At the end of the four months, new Dinner for Eight groups are formed. For more information, contact Andy and Laura Lailhengue. Andy (409-795-4448) or Laura (409-795-0747)

Men’s Breakfast

All men are invited to the Men’s Breakfast. There is no agenda. Just come and enjoy good food and fellowship each Saturday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 am at the Shy Katz restaurant / 902 6th Street N / Texas City. For more information, contact Maac Hughes 832-349-2742 or Andy Lailhengue 409-795-4448

The Needle Crafters

This group gets together every Thursday from 10:00 am to noon to work on quilts and other needlecraft projects. This group makes baby quilts for the Crisis Pregnancy Center and assists other ministries in their sewing projects. Everyone is welcome no matter your skill level. For more information, contact Joyce Shanks at 409-945-9172.

Brown Bag Bunch

Bring your lunch and enjoy Christian fellowship, good food and fun. On the 3rd Thursday of the month, we meet at a local restaurant. When there is a 5th Thursday of the month, everyone brings a dish to share for a potluck lunch.  Brown Bag Bunch activities are open to all ages. For more information, contact the church office

M&Ms (Mature Methodists)

Enjoy day trips to visit local places of interest. Past trips have included a tour of Galveston’s harbor, a tour of historical places in Galveston, and a trip across Galveston Bay on the ferry. Day trips usually include a stop at a local restaurant for lunch. For more information, contact Joyce Canada 409-945-6980.
