We have three opportunities for persons interested in serving in the music ministry.
- The Chancel Bell Choir offers people an opportunity to make beautiful worship music with bells. If you love music and can count to four, you are welcome to join this group of ringers. Rehearsals are on Wednesday nights before Chancel Choir rehearsals. The Chancel Bell Choir plays on a regular basis in our traditional worship service. If you would like to serve in this ministry, contact Dr. James Heffel, Director of Traditional Worship, at email@example.com.
- The Chancel Choir provides the anthems and leads the congregational singing for the Traditional worship service each Sunday at 11:00 am. The choir also has several special presentations during the year. All are welcome to join this fun-loving group. No audition required. If you would like to serve in this ministry, contact Dr. James Heffel, Director of Traditional Worship, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Our Praise Team leads worship each Sunday morning at 9:30 am in the sanctuary. In addition, the praise team sings for special events during the year. The praise team is always looking for vocalists and instrumentalists who have a heart for worship and can commit to regular rehearsals and Sunday mornings. If you would like to serve in this ministry, contact the church office.
Ushers assist in the smooth flow of the worship service. Ushers hand out bulletins, collect offering, assist with communion, take the worship count and tidy up the sanctuary after the service has ended. If you are interested in serving in this ministry, contact the church office.
When people come to our church on Sunday morning, we want to welcome them and make them feel comfortable. Persons serving in this ministry would greet people at the door and/or staff the Welcome Desk to offer help and answer questions. If you are interested in serving in this ministry, contact the church office.
Weekly, a team of two people counts and records the tithes and offering. Persons responsible for counting should have good math skills, be trustworthy and well-organized. If you are willing to serve in this area of ministry, contact the church office.
Each Sunday, the media ministry team serves in the sound booth to project the worship service on the screen and operate the sound booth. The media team also creates the slides for each worship service. Training is available for all positions. If you are interested in any of these areas of service, stop by the sound booth any Sunday morning.
As a community of faith, we offer to prepare and serve a meal to families who are dealing with the loss of a loved one. Pam Scoggin coordinates these meals. When a meal is needed, Pam contacts volunteers to help provide part of the meal and/or help serve the meal. If you would like to help with these meals, please contact Pam Scoggin at email@example.com.
We have members who are unable to attend the worship service to receive communion. We have teams who take communion to these people in their homes or care facilities at the first of every month. If you are interested in extending the communion table to our homebound members, please contact Dianne Ho-Gland at firstname.lastname@example.org.
On Sunday mornings, a group of people gather between the worship services to prayer for the needs of those on our prayer list. Please feel free to join this group any Sunday morning to lift up these prayer needs. If you are interested in forming an additional prayer team that meets during the week, let the church office know.
